Work

1985 to 1987: Taught lower-primary subjects at an elementary school

1987 to 1991: Organized events and conferences on literature, cinema and theater at the House of Arts in Pécs

1990 to 1997: Regularly published reviews and articles about films and plays in the university magazine, and in local and national newspapers

1994 to present: My essays, studies, poems, short stories and translations have appeared in literature periodicals and antologies

1992 to 1995: Taught classes in visual arts theory at several high schools in Pécs, on invitation

1993 to 1996: Taught general history of culture and communication classes at the Experimental High School of Szentlőrinc

1997 to 2001: Taught literature, mythology and grammar at the Gandhi High School of Pécs

2001: Worked in the United States for six months

2002 to present: Taught translation of verses, literature-theory and courses on the history of the Western-European verse-structures at several universities (University of Pécs, Károli Gáspár University and Pázmány Péter University)

 

Novels, books

Át (Over) is an irregular guide to the under-view of New York. The infernal plot wheels among the scenes of playgrounds, dog grounds, industrial areas, parks, the NY Subway and, connected stories evolve from these places. (JAK, 2004).

Török tükör (Turkish mirror) depicts a mosaic of nations, religions and cultures in the freshly conquered border zone of the Ottoman Empire, in Hungary in the 16th century with the eye of a wild Muslim adolescent (Jelenkor, 2009).

Diótörő is a rhymed tale, a transcription of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s novel Nuskracker und Mausekönig (Jelenkor, 2011).

A kis reccs (The little crash) is an utopia about a society without institutes and written lows where a scientific breakthrough unifies the great cosmological theories (Jelenkor, 2012).

A vers ellenforradalma (The counterrevolution of verse) is an excersisebook and metodology for interactive literature teaching (Magvető, 2014).

Möbion (Moebion) is a novel about Satan’s salvation (Magvető, 2015).
