Iva Vladimirova was born in Sofia.

She graduated from the National Art School – “Ilija Petrov” in Sofia in 1976. In 1985 she graduated in Painting at the National Art Academy , in Prof. Ivan Kirkov’s class.

From 1989 to 1994 she worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Drawing and Modeling at the Architecture and Building High Institute (ABHI).

1991-1993 she was a lecturer at the Architecture College at the ABHI.

1993 -1997 she was an assistant professor in Drawing and Painting with the private academy “Zhul Paskin”.

1995-1999 – Teacher of Fine Arts in12-th secondary school “Ivan Asen II”.

2001-2004 – Teacher of Painting at the Secondary School of Applied Arts.

2003-2006 -  she works as an assistant professor in the department of “Plastic Arts” at New Bulgarian University ( Sofia ).

Since October 2006 she is full-time professor in Drawing at New Bulgarian University (academic program “Plastic arts and Architecture”, department “Fine Arts” and department “Design and Architecture”)

Since 1987 she is a member of Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA).

1993-1996 – member of Organizing Cimmittee of UBA.
